About Us

We would love to welcome you to Bracarina House, a family owned and run Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the beautiful highland village of Invermoriston.

I’m Heather and together with my husband Robert, we live in, own and run Bracarina House.  We have decades of experience in tourism and hospitality not to mention raising our five children who are all grown up, some with children of their own.  With all this experience, we retain a passion for hospitality and take pride in providing a wonderful and enjoyable experience for our guests.

I manage Bracarina and you will often see me in the kitchen preparing breakfasts and lunches for guests or in our office taking care of bookings. I am an avid “Outlander” fan and read the first book in 1998. I have now completed reading all the books, at least 6 times over the years. So if you want to find out about “Outlander” and Jamie and Claire Fraser then I’m the one to ask. Bracarina House is the ideal place to stay to visit Beauly, the seat of the Fraser Clan. Also if you walk the last part of the Great Glen Way you will walk into Clan Fraser country and, if you can find them, see the standing stones at Craig Dunain. Both Robert and I have watched the television series and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Robert is now retired from the construction industry and after the daily cleaning of rooms and bathrooms, can most often be found gardening, making improvements around the grounds or looking after our guests on arrival from a good day’s walking. Robert’s favourite toy is of course his sit-on mower and would do that all day if he could.

We work hard to make your stay an effortless and relaxing experience where you can truly feel at home in our beautiful surroundings.

Our spacious, comfortable rooms, our convenient location on the path of the Great Glen Way and our excellent facilities including foot spas and drying room, make Bracarina House the ideal choice for walkers, cyclists and climbers.

Bracarina House is a perfect location for tourists visiting the area to stay, being situated between Inverness and Fort William and also on the road to Skye.  We also have free, private parking available on our grounds for those who would like to bring their car or motorcycles.
